If you have come to my website, by now you should be aware that I’m a body positive blogger based in Staffordshire. I am also going to take a wild guess that you are also on your own body positive journey. No matter where you are in your journey… very beginning or far along the road, I just want to say a huge congratulations for how well you are doing. Even if you don’t realise it, you are making huge improvements and don’t be discouraged by the bad days… we all have them!
The main reason I am writing this post is because I am introducing a new feature on my blog called ‘My Body Posi Journey’ where I am inviting people to speak about their experiences to help encourage others to embrace and accept themselves as they are. By sharing our journeys… the good and the bad… I believe that we are creating a more supportive and nurturing environment that will help others feel better about themselves. But to do this I need your help!
Most people who visit this site have read about my story, if you haven’t you can read it here.
Because everyone has their own story to tell about why they started out on their journey of self acceptance and self love I would really like to share them. If you are interested, all you would need to do is write around 500-1000 words (can be longer if you like) about what life was like for you before, how you stumbled across body positivity, how you life has been changed, etc and add a couple of photographs to accompany the article. Once finished you can send them to firstname.lastname@example.org
The article will be completely unedited, afterall it is your story but if you don’t feel confident in your writing abilities but still want to put your story out there, I am more than happy to rewrite for you, or even have a skype/zoom call so we can write it together… whatever helps.
The feature will start on Monday 30th July and a story will then go out on the 2nd and last Monday of each month.
Keep and eye out for the first story and if you don’t want to miss it, remember to subscribe.
